Lluvia Osunza

Founder and coordinator


Born in the capital of the state and raised in Cozumel since the age of 6 months, Lluvia has been working with visitors from around the world since the beginning of her career. This adjacent to the fact that she has grown throughout all her life on this magical island makes a special formula to live a wonderful moment to cherish and make unforgettable memories. 


With more than 18 years of experience in Destination Wedding Planning and having coordinated over 1500 weddings, including hers, she has the expertise and knowledge to execute flawless events.  Lluvia’s passion for helping couples carry out their dream wedding day is evident from the first meeting to the last dance.  


Her degree in tourism with a specialty in food and beverage, combined with her job training in hotels, including an internship in North Carolina in 2001, highlight her exceptional background. After graduating in 2003 she started working in the wedding industry, in the most important hotels on the island. After the devastating  Hurricane Wilma struke the island,  she moved for a couple of years to the mainland. Ultimately,  her heart brought her back to the island, where she continued working as a wedding planner up until today.
In all these years she has been working with the best, improving and learning every day.


Her gracious attitude and attention to detail brought her, along with her co-worker, to start their own dream Isla Cozumel Weddings & Events. She knows how important organization, communication, and flexibility are. Because of that, she treats every couple with a professional Love and Care! 

Juan Pablo "JP"

Coordinator


Born and raised on this beautiful Island, JP has been working non-stop as a destination wedding coordinator for the past 6 years, helping the Company create incredible and unique experiences for couples and their families. His warmth, creativity, huge smile and great eye for décor and style, characterize him. Each wedding has surpassed the couple’s and wedding parties’ expectations; paying special attention to the small details that he knows make a difference. 


He has a mesmerizing ability to make the couple’s wedding vision tangible as well as the ability of crafting the best wedding budgets by recommending the finest options for each unique wedding. Juan Pablo’s great experience in transportation logistics  for couples from cruise ships is possible because he is a local, and knowing the island is incredibly helpful while planning weddings for couples offshore.


All of his 20 years of working experience have been focused on understanding the customer’s needs and providing solutions for them. With a college degree in Marketing and International business; you can be assured that your service will be professional, ethic and with the best outcome. 

Karla Melina

Assistant coordinator


Karla Melina grew up on the island of Cozumel, the sea, the sand and the tropical heat have been an important part of her daily life; She has had the opportunity to receive a University education on the island, studying the Tourism career, where she also experienced the opportunity to make her first trip outside the country to take a scholarship in the city of Lecce Italy for an intensive course of the Italian language in 2000, which was the gateway to appreciate and embrace the different cultures of the world.


Karla Melina has experience in customer service for 18 years, this experience led her to work in the Cayman Islands for 8 years as a reservation supervisor and also as a concierge and sales, the taste for service led her to a great adventure in 2018 Joining a humanitarian organization for two years working in the sale of books at low prices and organizing educational events for the general public in different countries of Central, South America and the Caribbean, It is here where she had the opportunity to coordinate courses educational of spiritual and social nature to a multicultural community 


In the past, we have had the opportunity  to work with her in a few weddings where we discovered  her enormous potential for the romance industry. 


Karla considers service to others something that is not only a job, but a lifestyle, “In each interaction we have the opportunity to impact someone, to strive for this impact to be positive, it is what encourages me to do any activity that propose ”.
